Beginning at the tender age of 9, with the underground smash,
“The British Mutiny”, and continuing on with his first
transatlantic hit at age 13, “Solar System”, singer, songwriter,
pianist and sometimes guitarist,
Jason Perl,
is the brainchild
behind LivePERL.

For 30 years, LivePERL has written over
500 songs and performed over 200 shows. Influenced by the
piano based classic rock of Queen, Elton John, Joe Jackson
and Styx, Perl’s songs evoke an importance on melody,
emotion and killer hooks as shown on Perl classics
such as “Renee”, “Old Piano”, “Indecision”, "You
Turn Me On" and "You Don't Love Me".
Perl’s material
ranges from the ultra ballad (West Wind) to the classic rock
anthem (Star of the Show) to the old school progressive
(Wordy Girl) to the wacky and absurd (Dirty Down Tonight) to
the downright funky (Hands Off Me) to the undeniably silly
(Pot Behind The Bleachers).

Whether performing solo, with
his band or with an A Cappella trio, LivePERL has been a
mainstay on the New York city concert scene since 1994.

While the band has gone through many changes over the
years, the classic lineup includes Patrick Donovan on
lead guitar; Sandy Feder on bass guitar; and Saul Sutton
on drums. Now, for the first time, all that is LivePERL is
chronicled here for you to peruse. Enjoy!
